I was thinking about getting PNY 9800 GT because my friend said that it would run very high. But I heard about this review on CompTV that this card can't run very high on Crysis. Anybody know any other cards that can are cheap and they can run Crysis on very high? What's the cheapest video card that can run Crysis on very high settings very smoothly?
there are more things to consider than just the graphics card.
apparently your cpu can generate some graphics up to a point.
but it has to be a well balanced system.
go for an i7 if you can afford or the extreme edition dual core.
at least 4gb ram (8 is better but you have to get 64bit os.)
a good fast hdd -dont get solid state , too much of a ripoff
a 9800gtx will play crysis fine.
if you want bestly performance try to get 2gtx 295s and sli them
get a lot of cooling and off you go crysis on max settings at full hd resolution--for this get the i7 975- you wont regret it.What's the cheapest video card that can run Crysis on very high settings very smoothly?

Very high? LOL even 4 GTX 285s(yes there's 4 way SLi now! evga only) can't run crysis 100%. If you want decent settings get an ATi 4770
